Is it safe to start counting down for Christmas yet? Thanksgiving is officially over and we are sharing our top favorite non candy advent calendars!
Does Christmas start in November or December? Well, if you’re basing it off advent calendars, then it starts December 1st.
I’m sure you’ve seen those classic chocolate advent calendars they sell in most grocery stores, right?
I remember being so excited for those when I was younger. Now, as an adult with a more “sophisticated” palate, I’ve come to realize that the chocolate in those is really just awful. It’s definitely not something I look forward too.
While my kids still enjoy those chocolates, I’ve decided I wanted to branch out and experiment with some non candy advent calendars instead (at least until See’s Candy comes out with one 😉)
Advent calendars have come a long way since then and there is now way more variety than ever! Think noncandy options that are just as exciting, if not more.
With a little present behind each window, it’s almost as if it’s Christmas every day.
Have any favorite non candy advent calendars?
We are going to share the non candy advent calendars that stood out to us–some inspired by tiktok and geared toward adults while others were definitely created with children in mind.
If you’re a little more crafty, we also have links to DIY calendars at the bottom of the page. Don’t forget to check out our non candy stocking stuffers too!
Kid Targeted Advent Calendars:
1.Crayola Christmas Countdown Activity Advent Calendar
Starting strong with this coloring activity advent calendar. This one is perfect for parents who are looking for ways to get their kids away from the screens (me!).
2.PLAYMOBIL Advent Calendar- Santa’s Workshop
This one doubles as a toy and has a lot of great reviews with some comments suggesting it will turn into a keepsake.
3.Play-Doh Xmas Advent Calendar
My kids love play-doh. This advent calendar comes with 5 containers of play-doh and some shaping tools to go with it!
4.DISNEY: Storybook Collection: Advent Calendar
This storybook advent calendar is definitely a classic. Perfect for bedtimes leading up to Christmas.
5.LEGO City Advent Calendar Building Kit
LEGO advent calendars always look like so much fun. This is another one that doubles as a toy.
6.Paw Patrol Advent Calendar with 24 Collectible Plastic Figures
When my kids were younger they loved Paw Patrol. This would’ve been perfect.
7.Barbie Careers Advent Calendar
This non candy advent calendar starts with a barbie on day 1 with career themed clothing & accessories.
Another great mini activity, especially if your kids love puzzles as much as mine do. Each puzzle is 42 pieces, which are a little on the easier side but perfect for younger kids.
9. Mini Brands
These are just so cute and miniature, hence the name lol
10. Mario Bros
My kids have never played the game, but they still know who Mario is (they loved the movie). So, I think this could be a great calendar for gamers and non-gamers alike.
“Grown Up” Non Candy Advent Calendars
Why should kids get all the fun? These adult calendars come with all sorts of mini gifts. Anything from beauty, makeup, nail polish, I’ve even seen a sock advent calendar! So let’s get started.
This Rituals advent calendar is full of beauty products from body cream to foaming shower gel & more.
2.Wooden Christmas Tree 24-Piece Advent Calendar
Okay, this one is empty but it is beautiful! Plus, that makes it fully customizable right? Fill it with whatever you want and re-use it year after year.
For the wine lover in your life! This set comes with a 1/2 bottle behind each door!
Yep, you heard that right. This advent calendar has a tea bag behind each door. All with different flavors, the perfect advent calendar to unwind with at the end of the night.
5. Advent Calendar from Sephora
Sephora has the best advent calendars! This particular one has skincare, makeup, a beauty blender, even perfume!
6. Hair Care Advent Calendar from Sephora
Another Sephora winner! But this time with all the hair care products like Moroccan oil, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
I told you they had a sock one!
I love this candle advent calendar. Each day includes a mini 1 wick candle.
The Body shop has an amazing advent full of creams, lotions, shower gel, face masks– pretty much all things beauty.
Like the kid one, but harder. Each day you only get 42 puzzle pieces to work on and by the end (day 24) you will have completed a 1008-piece puzzle.
Happy holidays
I know there are soo many more non candy advent calendars to choose from, but I hope this list will get you started.
Also, I just found out that See’s candy has an advent calendar now! I guess it came out a few years ago and I had no clue. I might get a chocolate advent after all.
